How to reach the desk, and what we do and do not respond to

Corrections, right of reply, register applications, sponsorship enquiries and what we ignore.

Corrections and right of reply

If something published here is inaccurate, write to us with the article, the passage and what you believe is correct. We publish corrections with a visible note. We do not remove accurate material at anyone's request.

If you have a skin problem

We cannot help, and we will not try. We do not answer questions about individual skin problems, we do not look at photographs and we do not suggest what anything might be. A pharmacist is the right first stop for most skin complaints in Britain and needs no appointment. A GP is next. For anything systemic, meaning faintness, breathing difficulty or swelling beyond an exposed area, call 999.

Register and sponsorship

For a register entry, read the criteria and rates first and send the disclosed fields listed there. For newsletter sponsorship, the rate card and its limits are on the newsletter page. We respond to enquiries that have read those pages.

How to write to us

Email desk [at] surfskinlab.co.uk. We read everything and answer what we can answer.

What we do not respond to

  • Requests for links, guest posts, sponsored articles or content placement. We publish none of those and no rate exists for them.
  • Product samples, press releases and launch announcements. We name no product and cannot use them.
  • Requests to review, mention, feature or rank anything.
  • Requests to remove or amend accurate published material.
  • Requests for individual medical or legal advice.
Editorial disclosure

This page contains no commercial links. There is no advertiser, no sponsor, no affiliate arrangement and no product placement anywhere in it. We name no brand and no product, here or anywhere else on this site, and we describe ingredient classes only by what they do. Published by Northbank Media. Our funding is set out in full on the about page.

Field notes, once a fortnight

One email every two weeks: what has been published, and one mechanism explained properly. No products, no offers, no affiliate links, ever. Each issue carries a single clearly labelled sponsor line that has no influence on anything above it. Unsubscribe from the foot of any issue.

We use your address for the newsletter and nothing else, and we do not pass it to sponsors. See privacy and the published rate card.
